The practice

OKA principal, Odile Kgaswe, received her Bachelor of Architecture (DPLG) at the Ecole d’Architecture de Paris La Defense in 2000 and, after pursuing a number of residential and commercial projects with several well-known architects in Paris, she was invited to complete a research thesis in partnership with the School of Architecture at the University of Wits, in Johannesburg.

OKA was formed in 2004 to cater for the growing demand for high quality,

well-designed, large scale residential and commercial conversion projects in Johannesburg’s inner city.

OKA specializes in inner city conversions and gentrification projects, offering creative and practical solutions to a range of different projects, delivering on time, within budget and with optimal client satisfaction.
